CALL FOR ENTRIES: TOMMI Games Award 2026
25 Years of TOMMI: Submit Your Games Now / Looking for a Children's and Youth Jury!
Publishers, developers, and studios can now submit their games and digital educational offerings for the 2026 TOMMI Games Award. An independent panel of experts will nominate the best titles, and then children and teens in libraries will decide the winners themselves.
The TOMMI Games Award—previously known as the German Children’s Software Award—is being presented for the 25th time this year and is one of the most important awards for digital games and educational offerings for children and teens in German-speaking countries. More than 40 public libraries in Germany are seeking young gamers aged 8 to 16 to serve as members of the TOMMI Children’s and Youth Jury, where they will test and evaluate the nominated titles. TOMMI is a nationwide project promoting participation and media literacy. New partners this year include the Federal Agency for the Protection of Children and Young People in the Media (BzKJ) and klicksafe. The patron is Federal Minister of Education, Family, Seniors, Women, and Youth Karin Prien.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. on kika.de, in the KiKA app, and on TV as part of the KiKA media magazine “Team Timster.”
What can publishers submit?
