THE 2026 TOMMINS HAVE BEEN CALLED (PM)

For the 25th time, the renowned TOMMI expert jury has critically reviewed some 70 submissions and nominated the best games and digital learning resources. Starting now and through mid-November, the children’s and youth jury will be at work in about 40 public libraries in Germany, Austria, and—for the first time—South Tyrol. They will thoroughly test and evaluate the TOMMI nominees and ultimately select their winners. That’s because at the TOMMI Awards, children and young people alone decide who wins. Awards Ceremony on KiKA and at kika.de
The 25th TOMMI GAMES AWARD ceremony will take place on the KiKA media show “Team Timster” (KiKA/rbb/NDR). Starting November 30, 2026,one winner will be announced daily on kika.de and in the KiKA app.The full TOMMI Awards ceremony will be broadcast on KiKA on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
Best Testing Location: The Public Library
The TOMMI is more than just an award for games. That’s because libraries not only provide the space, the devices, and knowledgeable staff, but also create a media education framework that helps children engage with digital media in a competent and critical manner. In addition, libraries give children access to digital resources and technologies that may not be available to them at home. These libraries are participating.

TOMMI.kids is the landing page for all TOMMI activities and is aimed at parents, educators, libraries, and influencers. The focus is on successfully organized events for children and teens—featuring meaningful participation, concrete media literacy training, and lots of fun.
