TOMMI 2023: Call for publishers, children's jury & kindergartens

Submissions Now Open for Publishers / Seeking a Children's Jury / New Direction for Daycare Awards 

The TOMMI Children's Software Award is honoring the best games and digital learning resources for children and teens for the 22nd time. First, a panel of experts—comprising educators, researchers, journalists, and education specialists—selects the nominees; then, children and teens in approximately 50 libraries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland get to have their say. 

The award is held under the patronage of Federal Minister for Family Affairs Lisa Paus.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 8 p.m. on KiKA as part of the media show “Team Timster.”

Here’s what publishers can submit in 2023:
games, educational software, PC games, console games, apps, electronic toys, preschool products, and websites. The age rating must be USK 12 or higher. Submission forms and terms and conditions are available at this link:

Call for the 2023 Children’s Jury
About 50 libraries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are looking for a children’s and youth jury. Girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 16 who are interested in gaming are eligible to participate.

Preschool Awards: We are seeking high-quality digital offerings for preschool-aged children, as well as digital media that can be used in preschools. Once again, preschools with innovative and practical digital concepts can receive a cash prize of 1,500 euros. This award is supported by the Auerbach Foundation and organized in collaboration with media educator Prof. Dr. Stefan Aufenanger from the University of Mainz. The award ceremony will take place at the 2024 Online Daycare Congress. Terms and conditions of participation and the submission deadline are available at this link:
