Current KIM Study 2022
Current Statistics and Data on Children's Media Use
The 2022 KIM Study once again provides insights into media use among children aged 6 to 13. The section on gaming, starting on page 54, is particularly interesting. For example, when surveyed, children reported that “Minecraft” is the most popular game, unlike adults. “Minecraft” is indeed a good game, but anyone who spends time in elementary and middle schools knows that “Fortnite” is the real favorite among this age group. Here, “Minecraft” only ranks third. Perhaps the children know that this answer wouldn’t go over so well with adults.
