Tests of courage

Challenges often take place on TikTok and other social media platforms that encourage children and teenagers to imitate them. These dares are usually quite dangerous, and their consequences are underestimated. In addition to the challenge of setting school restrooms on fire, the Blackout Challenge is currently the best-known dare, one that has already claimed the lives of many children: In this challenge, girls and boys choke themselves with a noose until they lose consciousness. What parents and educators need to know about this can be found on the website of the EU initiative Klicksafe.
