App: Fiete Math (Ahoiii), iOS, Android

Here’s what educators say: Kids enjoy math—you just have to choose the right approach. The creators of “Fiete Math” have come up with an interesting solution. Since children first need to develop an understanding of numbers, they use their finger to divide blocks into the desired number of pieces in order to load them onto a ship. It’s an excellent, playful way to introduce children to mathematical thinking using simple methods. The app playfully teaches a basic understanding of numbers without sacrificing the fun. Fiete Math offers a great introduction to the world of numbers and motivates young users to engage with math.
