“Willi and the Magic Toad” won the TOMMI award because the game is about a frog, and amphibians are just fascinating. There are many different kinds of toads, and it’s fun to become a frog yourself in the game and learn so much about the world of frogs along the way. It also highlights the fact that some frogs are threatened with extinction. We learn something with the app, and it’s fun, too. You can jump really far and catch flies. We’re definitely going to download it because toads are just cool.

“Willi and the Magic Toad” is a beautifully illustrated game that offers long-lasting fun thanks to its interesting gameplay mechanics. And the game is fun right from the start. Along the way, players learn a lot about a wide variety of toad species and their unique characteristics. And these are narrated by Willi, who is well known to children from the show “Willi Wants to Know.” What we liked best about the game were the beautifully designed levels and the steadily increasing complexity of the toads’ abilities.
