2nd place - Marble run with app: GraviTrax with new action bricks (Ravensburger)

2019 | Electronic Toys | Winners

Here’s what the TOMMI Kids’ Jury has to say: “GraviTrax” deserves second place at TOMMI because it combines the app and the toy in a wonderful way. A marble run like this offers endless possibilities, and we learn a lot about gravity. It’s a real building project, and it never gets boring because every track is different. First, we build it using the app’s instructions, and when the ball starts rolling, we hold our breath with excitement. There are so many parts, like bridges and the trampoline. It’s great that we can make the ball spin, bounce, and fly. That alone is reason enough for us to come back to the library.

Here’s what the expert jury has to say: “GraviTrax” is fun right from the start. With a variety of building pieces, you can create all kinds of tracks. The set includes a huge number of components, so there’s an endless amount to discover. It challenges children to think three-dimensionally and logically. A great game for all ages! The accompanying app also offers digital support and instructions for building tracks. This way, even children who can’t read yet can have fun with “GraviTrax.” It’s a unique combination of digital and hands-on play.
