Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: The robot “MIP” won the 2015 TOMMI Award because we fell in love with it right away. We were amazed at how MIP managed to stay balanced on just two wheels. We loaded it up with apples, gummy bears, and other things, and it was able to balance them skillfully right away. If the robot does happen to tip over, it makes funny noises. It’s fun to control it with a tablet—especially because it would sometimes do things it wasn’t supposed to. We were able to give it emotions and program it to do things. It’s funny when MIP dances.
