Here’s what the TOMMI Kids’ Jury has to say: “Shoe it All!” wins the TOMMI because the game is just plain fun and gets going right away. We throw shoes at different things and use them to clear away obstacles. That sounds a little weird at first. But we have to aim well, react quickly, and keep solving new challenges. It’s precisely because the idea is a little crazy that it puts us in such a good mood. We laughed a lot while playing because the game is really funny.

Here’s what the expert jury had to say: In “Lonely Mountains: Downhill,” we already had a blast mountain biking down mountains; in “Snow Riders,” we’re now hitting the slopes at even breakneck speeds. The “downhill formula” works again, and carving through the snow is fantastically rendered thanks to responsive physics, graphics, and sound. Descents from checkpoint to checkpoint, free route selection with plenty of shortcuts, ice, and ruts, plus jumps and tricks as optional stylistic elements. The learning curve is fair but challenging: “easy to learn, hard to master.” A few improvements over its predecessor and cool new multiplayer modes make it worth strapping on your skis.
