Here’s what the expert jury has to say: The German Skat Association has been complaining about declining membership for years. YU-GI-OH! and other trading card games are stealing the spotlight from this supposedly boring classic. This wonderfully designed website proves that Skat is by no means boring—nor is it much more complicated than its trading-card competitors—as it introduces you to the card game step by step with plenty of humor and pedagogical skill. Instead of dusty old bar-table wisdom, the rules are taught here in a way that’s easy to grasp, thanks in no small part to the charming graphics. Skat is culture.
