Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say:“Lego City Undercover” took first place at the 2013 TOMMI Awards because it’s the best open-world game for kids. No other game gives us this much freedom: We can embark on exciting missions and chase criminals as police officers in various disguises. It’s just as great to simply take off running, flag down the nearest car, and use it to explore the back alleys or the beautiful surroundings. Of course, everything in this world is made of LEGO. There’s a lot of dialogue in this action-packed story, but it’s usually very funny—just like in a movie. It’s a real adventure when we go on car chases, and the ski jumps are just awesome. We get to try everything in the game: race cars, boats, helicopters—and in the end, we even flew in a real UFO. A truly awesome game. The only thing that was annoying were the long loading times. Many people say “Lego City Undercover” is only suitable for ages ten and up, but we think it’s also great for eight-year-olds.
