App for iOS & Android: Fiete Wintersports (Ahoiii)

2018 | Special Award for Preschools and Kindergartens | Nominees

Here’s what media educators say:“ FieteWintersports” is all about the Winter Olympics. There are 14 sports in total, ranging from curling and figure skating to biathlon and speed skating. The simple gestures needed for each game are briefly demonstrated beforehand, so players can get started right away. Young players need a wide variety of skills: While short track requires the right touch, biathlon demands not only high-speed runs but also a steady hand, speed skating calls for a nimble finger, and Super G requires quick reflexes—all of which are essential for helping Fiete take first place on the podium.
