App for iOS & Android: KiKANiNCHEN - App (-KIKA)

2018 | Special Award for Preschools and Kindergartens | Nominees

Here’s what media educators have to say: In the app featuring the well-known TV rabbit, children can digitally design their own “Schnipseltiere” and place them in a meadow, compose melodious tunes with the help of birds, or play hide-and-seek on a sailboat with Flamingo & Co. All the mini-games stimulate different senses in children: They have to listen closely and distinguish between different pitches, and they also need to demonstrate a keen eye during the hide-and-seek game, which trains their visual attention. In addition, the app’s design and the “snippet animal” game inspire children to do their own crafts to create their own world. This turns the app into a holistic gaming experience that encourages childrento engage in creative activities even beyond their use of the app.
