App for iOS & Android: Squirrel & Bear (Good Evil)
Here’s what the panel of education experts had to say:
Squirrel and Bear took the young players’ hearts by storm: The story of the squirrel and the bear who leave the city to save the bees captivated many of the young test players, and all of them would have loved to play the game all the way through to find the life-saving herb. Many children also responded to the direct interaction with the two game characters and eagerly repeated the English words and phrases, so that learning English happened naturally along the way. The educational games are very age-appropriate and not only promote understanding of a foreign language in a lighthearted way but also stimulate logical thinking and develop motor skills. The dialogs with the English-speaking animals are also integrated into a simple German context, making all scenes in the app easy to follow. Since there are never any winners or losers—the focus is on saving the bees together—the game can be played by several children at the same time. Because the app is divided into many smaller sections and automatically saves progress regularly, the game can be paused at any time and resumed later. The app is lovingly designed, easy to navigate, and offers a wonderful mix of play, learning, excitement, and lots of fun!
