App for iOS & Android: Little Fox Train (Fox & Sheep)

2018 | Special Award for Preschools and Kindergartens | Nominees

Here’s what media educators say: The little fox is on the move with his train, transporting various items from A to B. The freshly picked cherries need to be turned into juice, after which they’re taken to the supermarket. Next, grain is loaded onto the train and taken to the bakery, and the fox also delivers the freshly baked bread to the supermarket. This is an app for children who are just starting to use a tablet. The gestures are simple, allowing children to quickly operate the train on their own, make the locomotive honk, and load and unload the cars. Here, children discover their first touch gestures on the tablet and, in this beautifully designed app, also learn about short production processes in which they can help out a little themselves.
