Here’s what the TOMMI Kids’ Jury has to say: “Shine” should win 3rd place at TOMMI because, unlike many other games, it isn’t hectic at all. We are the light; we have to make sure it doesn’t go out and collect other lights. While the gameplay is very simple, the atmosphere, the great graphics, the beautiful music, and the excellent sound effects are very relaxing and soothing. It’s even better with headphones. “Shine” is a great way to unwind after a stressful day at school.

Here’s what the expert jury had to say: This app is beautifully designed—the atmosphere, the music, and the graphics immediately stand out as major strengths. Players must collect the other Moonies, which appear as small balls of light, throughout the various levels. The controls are intuitive, using simple tap gestures. If you don’t make it to the next light orb in time, your own light goes out. However, kids can restart right away. With four chapters, each containing ten levels, “Shine” is pleasantly extensive, and collectible dark orbs ensure high replay value.
