iOS: Fox&Sheep Filmstudio (Fox & Sheep)

Here’s what media educators say: Watching movies is a lot of fun, but making your own movies is even more fun. With the “Fox & Sheep Film Studio,” even young tablet users can now become little film producers. Children can choose from a variety of cute characters to play the leading roles and decide where the action takes place. A fox and a chick might meet in the middle of the city, or a sheep and a firefighter might meet in a flowery meadow. Once the right music is selected, filming can begin: With a swipe, the characters are moved across the screen to tell little stories that can be watched over and over again afterward. The app stimulates children’s creativity and encourages them to invent and act out little scenes—and to watch them, too.
