Luna- The Shadow Dust (Application Systems Heidelberg)

2020 | PC | Nominees

Visually, this game—which was co-funded through a crowdfunding campaign—stands out from the rest: the character designs and animations are the result of genuine, painstaking craftsmanship. And that creates a very special, rich, almost lyrical atmosphere. Another thing that makes this game special is that it gets by entirely without dialogue. In fact, the puzzles aren’t easy, and that’s a good thing—because once you’ve immersed yourself in Luna’s world, you won’t want to surface again anytime soon.
