It doesn't feel like that: The adventure of Spyro the Dragon and his friends brilliantly combines the virtual world of the video game with the colorful world of very real game figures that are placed on a connected portal. The various figures also have different strengths and abilities. The plot is exciting but not intimidating. Dexterity is just as important as smarts.

Here’s what the kids’ jury has to say:
“Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure” took third place at the TOMMI Awards because it’s a really great game. It runs on PC and Mac and hasn’t even crashed once! “Skylanders” is a beautiful, versatile, and—above all—long game. It’s got a good dose of fantasy excitement that we really liked, even though the dialogues are sometimes a bit too long. We were happy to take on the task of saving the world from the evil wizard Kaos. We especially had a lot of fun playing as a team or sometimes together with the kids from the console jury. To do this, we had to solve lots of puzzles, search for items, and—most of all—fight and shoot. Of course, the characters look absolutely great, and switching them on the portal was always quick and easy whenever a hero with the element of air or magic was needed. The world just looks amazing. Our next vacation should take us to the Skylands.
