2026 Games Awards
1st place - Astro Bot (Sony Interactive Entertainment)
Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Astro Bot” wins the TOMMI because it’s an awesome game that’s really well-suited for kids. In this platformer, the goal is to find lost robots while collecting coins. We especially liked the design, and the fact that the planets always look different and surprise us with new missions. Plus, the developers often came up with something really funny, and we found ourselves laughing out loud a lot. There are also secret hiding spots everywhere for us to find. It’s the best game for anyone who likes robots.
Here’s what the expert jury had to say: After a devious alien destroys his spaceship and scatters the robot crew in all directions across the universe, the PlayStation 5 mascot Astro Bot sets out across five galaxies to find 300 comrades and repair the spaceship. “Astro Bot” is a 3D platformer full of variety and charming humor that requires dexterity and a spirit of discovery. It keeps players engaged with plenty of surprises and secrets, yet remains fair throughout and is suitable even for inexperienced players. Fans will love the collectible robots modeled after beloved characters from PlayStation history.
