Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Lego Super Mario Adventure” took first place at the 2020 TOMMI Awards because it makes a video game feel totally real. We had a lot of fun just putting it together. We built our own Super Mario levels with LEGO and could rebuild them over and over again. When Super Mario jumps on the enemies, he gets coins and can talk. We were able to keep playing with LEGO bricks without an app, and we really liked that.

Here’s what the expert jury had to say: At first, the concept sounds pretty out there: translating the fun of “Super Mario” into LEGO. But after just a short while, it works really well. The levels are brought to life in the LEGO world through distinctive pieces, and Mario himself is a playable character who makes coins jingle and moves around while letting out cheers. You can constantly rearrange the individual pieces and go on another coin hunt. For fans of LEGO and Super Mario.
