Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Discovery Tour – Ancient Greece” won first place at the 2020 TOMMI Awards because this is exactly what a great educational program should look like. We went on tours and explored ancient Greece. There wasn’t really a story other than the history of Greece itself. It was truly very educational, and the tours are quite challenging. The graphics were great, too. It’s just a shame you couldn’t fight.

Here’s what the expert jury had to say: Ubisoft’s living museum offers around 30 interactive themed tours through ancient Greece. Lectures provide opportunities to engage with eyewitnesses; anecdotes, visual material, and short texts bring the life, culture, politics, and historical events of ancient Greece to life. At the end of each tour, visitors can test what they’ve learned with a quiz. Drawbacks include the sometimes uncritical treatment of source material and the relatively high costs. Nevertheless, it represents a promising new approach to history education.
