Here’s what the kids’ jury has to say: “SpongeBob SquarePants – Battle for Bikini Bottom” takes first place at the 2020 TOMMI Awards because we think hard work deserves to be rewarded. We love the show and we love the game—both are so funny and entertaining. It was a blast protecting Bikini Bottom from the robots. The story is exciting and the abilities are really cool. There are attacks where you can die, but that’s kind of lame.

Here's what the expert jury says: Oh, SpongeBob is just so much fun. Hardly any other game is as good at lifting your spirits as this adventure featuring the sponge-headed character. That’s certainly also due to the highly detailed portrayal of the show’s characters, including their voices. However, the adventure’s puzzles and mini-games aren’t always easy to solve and require quite a bit of patience. Witty one-liners and really nice ideas round out the consistently positive impression.
