“Klim: S21 – The Climate Adaptation Game” won the TOMMI award because it teaches us how climate change is causing problems for humanity in so many areas. We help the respective mayors make decisions using various tactics. In doing so, we think ahead and take public opinion, the environment, and finances into account. Precisely because we make so many decisions, there are also many different endings. The game is really cool because it’s fun and educational. Since it’s realistic, adults should play it, too.

The game raises players’ awareness of this significant topic and also highlights practical protective measures. Players can explore different sectors, such as agriculture and forestry, to experience the effects of climate change in various regions. Every decision made has direct consequences, thereby fostering an understanding of cause and effect.
