2nd place - tiptoi: The Millions Coup (Ravensburger)

Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “The Million-Dollar Heist” won second place at the TOMMI Awards because it’s a great mix of a traditional board game and an electronic toy. It’s really fun even without a screen. Because when the Tiptoi pen speaks, we can picture everything so clearly in our minds: the bank, the scenes, the characters. Plus, it’s cool to step into the role of a bank robber for a change. Even if it’s just to test the alarm system and we’re supposed to crack safes with the bank’s permission. The time pressure ramps up the excitement. The pen explains everything well and always responds quickly and correctly. The game never gets boring, either, because the alarm systems are always in different places. You can’t do that without some smarts. And we’ve got them!
