2026 Games Awards
3rd place - Lonely Mountains: Downhill (Thunderful Publishing)
2020 | PC | Winner
Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Lonely Mountain: Downhill” won the TOMMI 2020 award because the difficulty can sometimes really drive you to despair, but it’s still fun. As a cyclist, you have to race down a steep mountain on treacherous trails and beat the clock. If you hit a rock, you’re dead. If you fall from too high up, you’re dead. It’s not that easy to get through the game. But you just want to make it anyway—it’s really well done!
Here’s what the expert jury had to say: The indie game “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” manages to turn a dangerous extreme sport into a fun sports game. The objective is easy to grasp: Ride your bike down steep slopes at extreme altitudes and make it down the mountain in one piece. This requires great skill and quick reflexes. The appeal lies in the fine line between success and failure. Your frustration tolerance is put to the test, but the fun of the game always prevails.
