Here’s what the kids’ jury says:
“Mario Party SUPERSTAR” wins the TOMMI Award because it’s the best board game in the whole world. The atmosphere is great, and the incredible number of mini-games are varied and never boring. We drive cars, jump, fly, and even eat pizza. You get to practice each mini-game first. We play together as a team the whole time, but also go head-to-head as individuals. It’s fun to steal coins from each other. “Mario Party SUPERSTAR” is even fun when you lose.

Here's what the expert jury has to say: "
"
Twenty-four years ago, the first Mario Party games were celebrated on the N64 console—and since “Mario Party Superstars” is a “best-of” compilation featuring the debut title and the two N64 sequels, it’s not unlikely that even parents will feel a pang of nostalgia while playing, as their kids beat them in a whopping 100 mini-games. True to the series, the little skill-based games—from rugby shoving matches to ball chaos—are varied, hilarious, and usually quite gleeful. An entertaining treat for all ages, though the game runs out of steam pretty quickly without other players.
