2026 Games Awards
PLACE 3 - PS, PC & XBOX: Biomutant (THQ Nordic)
2021 | USK 12 | Winner
Here’s what the youth jury has to say:
“Biomutant” wins the TOMMI because it portrays a post-apocalyptic world so beautifully and darkly. In the game, we have to protect the Tree of Life from death. “Biomutant” is a 3D shooter—a genre we really love. Because we can choose different paths, there’s a lot of freedom, which draws us deeper into the story. The missions and skills are very varied. But what we enjoyed most was the combat and crafting weapons.
Here’s what the expert jury had to say:
In the game “Biomutant,” players are transported to a post-apocalyptic era in which humanity has wiped itself out following a global environmental catastrophe. However, genetically mutated animal creatures have survived—such as our hero, a kind of kung fu-wielding power raccoon with supernatural abilities. He uses these abilities in countless battles against equally bizarre opponents throughout the game. When he’s not exploring the open-world game environment, he’s collecting items, completing quests, solving puzzles, and improving his abilities along the way.
