Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “The Unstoppables 2: Tofu in Danger!” won the TOMMI because it showed us what life is like for people with disabilities. For example, the heroes are in wheelchairs or are blind. We especially liked that, even though the kids are very different, each one is really good at something different. It’s great that you get tips and that we don’t just play with one person. You always have to figure out how to solve puzzles with a group of people.

Here’s what the expert jury says: Melissa is blind, but she can use her cane to reach objects that are high up. Mai is small and nimble; Jan is tall and strong, but slow. Achim, who uses a wheelchair, can give Melissa a ride, but needs help on uneven ground. Together, the four of them are almost unbeatable, but they need the players’ help to find Tofu, the guide dog. The game encourages players to engage with the different disabilities of its self-assured protagonists, playfully demonstrating just how inaccessible our world often is. In an entertaining way, the app raises awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities.
