PS4: FAR: Lone Sails (Mixtvision)

2019 | Console Games | Nominees

Here’s what the expert jury had to say: Wow, that looks really sleek! In “Far Lone Sails,” the player embarks on a grand, melancholic journey. Without a backstory or explanations, the player sets out to explore the 2D game world and soon finds themselves in the Okomotive, a unique vehicle. The focus of this game is on experimentation—children have to figure out for themselves how this machine works. This works surprisingly well and intuitively. In addition, there are frequent short puzzle sections that are interesting but not too complex.
