Wii U: Minecraft Wii U Edition (Nintendo)

Here’s what the expert jury has to say: Minecraft is and remains one of the best, most creative, and most motivating interactive experiences for young gamers. Even on the Wii U, this block-based game—as simple as it is ingenious—keeps players captivated, whether they’re playing in front of the TV or on the GamePad. In addition to classic modes and graphics packs, the Wii U edition of Minecraft exclusively offers the “Super Mario Mash-Up Pack,” which lets players create custom worlds with a Mario-style look—allowing them to enjoy two of the most popular video game universes at the same time.
