Three different models in the “Early Coding” construction set are waiting to be discovered by young tinkerers and budding coders ages five and up. The set includes extra-large building blocks that are easy to snap together, a movable bumper with buttons, an infrared line-following sensor, a battery-powered controller module, and a well-illustrated step-by-step guide for assembling the models. The actual programming takes place on a smartphone or tablet using the free app. It uses a simple graphical programming language—similar to Scratch—that makes it easy to get started. Great.
