2026 Games Awards
PLACE 1: Fling to the Finish (Daedalic)
2021 | PC | Winner
Here’s what the kids’ jury has to say:
“Fling To The Finish” wins the TOMMI because it’s all about teamwork. In the game, we’re chained together with a partner and have to reach the finish line together. The game is a lot of fun and even exciting at times. When we’re facing a chasm, we have to jump at the same time and stick to the surface just in time—otherwise we’ll fall down. The graphics look really good and kind of cartoonish (sic!). We especially like the teamwork. Games are just more fun when you play them together!
Here’s what the expert jury says: “
”
The goal is to work together to complete a course and reach the finish line. The twist is that the two game pieces are literally attached to each other. In addition to reaching the finish line, players can complete additional challenges. Players must coordinate and communicate with each other to succeed. The game mechanics are innovative and a lot of fun, though—as is typical for this genre—things can get a bit chaotic. The game can be played with multiple people or solo.
Here's what Gaming Ohne Grenzen has to say:
Can be played by people with hearing impairments.
Ages 8 and up
