2026 Games Awards
1st place - Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes (Daedalic Entertainment)
Here’s what the kids’ jury has to say:
“Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes” won first place at TOMMI because we get to defeat whole hordes of zombies with a giant pinball machine. Best of all, it works great with two players. We have to aim a marble very carefully at the undead, otherwise they’ll take over our tower. It’s a very fast-paced game—exhausting and hectic in a good way. We think it’s superbly designed and very varied. Despite the zombies, the whole game feels cheerful and not scary at all. We know, after all, that it’s not real.
Here’s what the expert jury had to say:
Once again, a game world has to contend with a zombie plague. But the way this plays out in “Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes” is extremely unusual. Players wander through a board-game-like overworld, collecting items, opening chests, and facing off against enemies. When this happens, the game switches to a combat screen that resembles a simple pinball machine: You sweep advancing hordes of zombies off the screen with well-aimed balls, and there are usually additional targets—such as crates and switches—to hit or secret passages to discover. “Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes” is a daring blend of genres that’s a lot of fun once you get the hang of it.
