3rd place - Book with Bookii pen: Listen and marvel at musical instruments

2020 | Education | Winners

Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Bookii: Listen and Marvel—Musical Instruments” won the TOMMI 2020 award because we completely forgot that there was no screen. The book taught us that there are so many different musical instruments. And with the audio pen, we got to listen to them all. It wasn’t boring at all, because the pen also has educational games. It’s a shame there isn’t something like this as a textbook.

Here’s what the expert jury has to say: What does an orchestra actually consist of? What does a trumpet sound like? And how is a guitar built? This book, along with the accompanying Bookii pen, provides a wealth of knowledge in a child-friendly yet informative way for anyone interested in musical instruments. All you have to do is turn on the Bookii pen, tap a spot in the book, and off you go on a journey of discovery! The built-in mini-games are especially entertaining; in them, children learn, for example, to distinguish between different instruments by their sound.
