2026 Games Awards
3rd place - Lego WeDo 2.0 (Lego Education)
Here’s what the kids’ jury had to say: “Lego WeDo 2.0” should win the TOMMI Award because being a programmer is a great career, and this set lets us learn real programming in a fun, playful way. Of course, we especially enjoy building with Lego and all its many pieces. We could follow the instructions or build our own designs based on our imagination. When programming with the tablet, we had to tinker a lot and think logically. And whenever we got stuck, funny instructional videos helped us out. We thought the idea of building a robot and programming it ourselves was incredibly cool. After each step, we could tell right away whether we’d done something right or wrong. If you try often enough, you’ll figure out the solution on your own. We think “WeDo 2.0” would be great for school.
