1st place - Switch: Yoshi's Crafted World (Nintendo)

Here’s what the TOMMI Kids’ Jury has to say: “Yoshi’s Crafted World” should take first place at TOMMI because it totally deserves it. It’s super colorful, super fun, and above all, mega-cute. We love the cheerful vibe and the awesome graphics, which just put you in a good mood. We can play together, choose characters, and get creative ourselves. The challenges and puzzles are great, and we have to think strategically, too. There’s always a clear explanation, and you can look it up at any time. We have nothing but positive things to say about the game.

Here’s what the expert jury has to say: Yoshi is just so cute. He catches enemies with his long tongue, swallows them, and then spits them out as eggs. He uses those eggs to knock enemies out of the way or blast away parts of the scenery to find hidden coins or paths. The backgrounds are wonderful—they all look as if they were created at a craft table in a child’s bedroom. It’s also great that this platformer offers two different difficulty levels, so even inexperienced players won’t get too frustrated and will be happy to keep playing.
